Act 2: Witness to the madness

You've discovered that Edward Carnby was murdered in his house 9 months ago, so he wouldn’t be able to give you much conversation as the coded note suggested you to do. Not in the present, at least.

After trying to use the time machine for the first time you realized that its use has been restricted to certain dates. Whoever gave it to you knew well that you wouldn’t resist to take a brief look to the future and, probably, do something you are not supposed to do. The fact that you are being used like a puppet was something you accepted some time ago. But who is doing this and why? Why you of all people? All those questions were gone once you arrived to the day the time machine automatically set, right after choosing the month and the year: the day Edward was killed.

As you enter the room you understand why the papers didn’t put many pictures of it. A blue room, now painted with blood, showed a tortured body lying on the bed, except for the head, placed over the table. After a few seconds trying to recover from the shock, you wonder why would you need to travel through time to find him dead anyway. Guess someone wanted you to see the scene with your own eyes. But why? You didn’t even know the guy.

Suddenly, you see the dead body is holding something with his right arm. It’s another note:

8 pictures began your adventure. The missing one will lead you to the end. When? Before I stole them. Where? You already should know.
