So it's considered pretty rude poking at them with reminder messages before that time.
It's ruder when you're doing it after someone else already did, and moreso if you're copying/pasting the exact same thing. Still, it's even ruder if you're posting that same message day after day.
This is all especially true when the gifter hasn't even been online yet to see any of the messages.
And? That makes anything I said any less correct? You can't tell the future. So you wanna call it bad 'advice', well what are you saying instead? "Hey I SHOULD go around harassing people before they've been given the allotted time to deliver on the generosity" because---why? It wasn't already delivered before you're allowed to contact them? Cause that's some great logic right there. Follow it through and watch the grace period approach 0.
But--oh look-- the keys were delivered here, because that's NOT the end of story. It's just when you're allowed to make contact to see what's up. Maybe you'll get the key, and its just a mistake like here. Maybe not, and you're free to mark as not received.
Some case where the key isn't delivered in seven days doesn't retroactively justify breaking the rules. There are all the cases where it is delivered, but you don't know which it's gonna be, so it's a dick move either way. None of this is advice, it's just the rules.
