Without giving too much details, it's a mostly administrative work in an once flourishing company, now slowly dying. I'm the only people left knowing how a part of the company activity works,so I have some job security, but this is pretty tiring, as everything falls apart a bit more each pasing day.
I just tought, with you being french and saying you're gaming too much and your employer going downhill, it would not have been out of the question that you might work at Ubisoft

I left my hectic job of my own accord recently, but alas, instead of looking for a new job, I while away the time playing a shiny new game that I hadn't anticipated coming out before. And I self-imposed some restrictions on myself so I don't blaze through the contents, but willingly get stuck at certain stages to see if there's a better way to do it (it's a tactics game).
So I'm probably living the life I would if I had won the lottery - lazing resting my time away with hobbies and games and volunteering occasionally. It's good that I have the savings to afford doing this, but I really should go back to looking for a new job (and the train isn't helping)! :)
The one really good nonverbal (we never talked much) advice i've got from my dad was:
Never plan to "being a pensioner". He's had two years of that stuck with cancer.

Nah, but I know people who worked for Ubi (they left) and for Bioware (they left too).
I'm not sure many french people are left in Ubisoft today anyway.
