I figured I'd make a giveaway for this, because I don't like the thought of the almost 40 hours that was promised by How Long to Beat. I'm also not a massive fan of its type of gameplay. I'm sure one of y'all will love it, though.
What comic/comic movie & game characters do y'all like? I was gifted a Spider-Man comic yeaaars back, when I was really sick in the hospital, so I have a fondness for him. I also like Batman and his good games. But other than that? I'll appreciate any character who has a compelling comic to read, movie to watch, or game to play.
I've also been getting into the MCU, now that my mom got our fam Disney+. Wandavision was pretty great. And it's super cool that they've got classic Spider-Man to go with the new stuff.

I've got a bit of a soft spot for Spider-Man... the original two movies from 20 or so years ago were excellent, and Deadpool is very funny. Outside that... I guess Batman is fine?
Most Superhero movies are pretty dull.
There was a show in the 2000's called Smallville I really liked though, watched that consistently when I was a teenager. Superman as a teenager in high school sorta thing, but it was well done.
Really, this game appeals to me because Firaxis. I've pretty consistently loved their games, the super hero aspect is more something I'd tolerate to get to the gameplay.

I loved the Deadpool movies. They're also on Disney+, so I probably should watch them again. I just wish Smallville was on one of the services I'm subbed to. That wasn't my favorite Superman show or movie, but it was alright. I like original takes on classic formulas.

I´m not that much into superhero stuff. I feel like most heroes and universes have some very interesting elements, but they don´t utilized them enough. I watched a few MCU-Movies here and there and heard the newer stuff is a lot more interesting, so I recently decided to watch all MCU on Disney+ in release-order, including the shows, to work my way to the modern stuff. But to be honest, after watching 44 episodes of Agents of Shield, I dont think I can suffer through another 92 of them xD The show is painfully bad... on the other hand though, the first two seasons of Daredevil were excellent from start to finish (havent watched season 3 yet), so you never know what you´ll get.
If I keep watching it all, it will sadly take some time for me to get to Wandavision xD
Other than that, I really liked the first of Nolans Batman movies and the Arkham games. The Guardians of the Galaxy game is also really good, I liked the story and characters a lot better than in the movies (movies are allright too, but the game is so much better). The Spiderman games are looking nice too.
Similar to InsertCookiesHere, I´m mostly interested in Midnight Suns for the gameplay/Firaxis. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!

I got the Guardians of the Galaxy game from Epic Games, and really need to play it sometime. I've been told I'll love it. I just hope it works on my Steam Deck.
Thanks! I hope you have a good weekend, too!

I played through the whole game on Steam Deck and it was a great experience. Its one of the more taxing games for the system and I boosted the graphics at the cost of some noticably lower FPS in a few areas, but it ran very smooth most of the time. And theres is always the option to lower the settings according to your tastes.

I've been an X-Men fan almost as long as I can remember - from watching the OG cartoon series in the 90's, plus being gifted a handful of loose issues leading into the Age of Apocalypse storyline and a black-and-white paperback collecting some early Claremont-era stuff. That was my gateway into Marvel in general.
Not as big of a DC fan, but I do appreciate the Nolan movies and generally most of Kevin Conroy's Batman. Superman is good when it's good - it's hard to find an author or creative team that really nails both the inherent 'goodness' of the character without being overly preachy, while still finding a way to create an engaging conflict and satisfying resolution. Most other DC stuff I could take or leave, although some of the CW Arrow-verse stuff is a guilty pleasure, especially Legends of Tomorrow - there's not a lot on TV that knows it's bad, and just ditches everything to shift into dumb entertainment, although the last couple seasons also fell off a bit.

Wow, you're a serious X-Men fan. Cool. I also loved the OG cartoons. I've watched a few episodes of that on Disney+. It's nice that it's loaded with Marvel goodness.
Kevin Conroy's Batman is the best. He's a great voice actor, and his obvious love for the role really shines through.
