Looks like I've been offline for about six months, so I figure I'd better give something away now that I'm back. So here goes.
The original Dungeon Keeper was world-changing for me when I first played it in the summer of 1997. I played the HELL out of it. DK2 was pretty good, I liked a lot of what went into it and the new additions, but nothing could stand up to the ridiculous fun that was the original DK.
So I haven't yet played this, the development of it honestly scared me off, but it was on sale, so to (mis-)quote the great John Hurt: Why buy one when you can buy two at twice the price? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTUrdizRZyw

I'll let you know, I just idled for cards so far but I'm thinking I'll get to actually play it tonight after I get the kids in bed.
Man, that's something I never said back in the DK/DK2 days...
Good luck.

I bought a game that looked like DK a while back dungeons defender, but it was in fact some tower defense. hope this one is different & thanks for the wishlisted giveaway

There's been a number of DK-like games over the years, Overlord comes up a lot in discussion, but from what I hear Dungeons 2 is the most DK-like in execution. That said, this was originally conceived of as a fan-made sequel to DK2, so I have high hopes.
And for the record, I haven't gone anywhere near EA's F2P mobile thing nor will I. I don't like mobile gaming in general and everything I saw about this one made me think that the developers took the "Evil is Good" theme just a little too far.

the name is actually dungeons: the dark lord - my mistake on that!

I entered than I saw the sale on Chrono.gg and I couldn't resist buying it myself, but still thanks for the giveaway. Game looks amazing.

It does look like it plays like DK, let's hope it actually does. Most of the complaints I've seen about this game are just that it gets repetitive.

Welcome back! And thanks a lot for the chance at Dungeon Keeper :·D

The original Dungeon Keeper was really great game and the second one wasn't a bad sequel. I really liked the idea of imprisoning Lord of the Land and torturing him until he gave up and joined your forces >:D There was some of the same dark humour in the Overlord game series BUT Dungeon Keeper were waaay better imo.

I've never found anything that quite matched the lightning-in-a-bottle thing the original DK had going. Good to know that Overlord at least hit some of the same notes. I even have Overlord in my steam library and I haven't played it because, frankly, playing Windows games is kind of a pain in the butt, so any game that has Linux/SteamOS support is automatically 100x more likely for me to play. Another point in favour of WFTO. :-)

Oh, didn't know that the WFTO had that :) Great thing for you guys then! I have been on the fence with the game; it seems interesting but the price hasn't matched my wallet at the time or I have missed the best sales! Also the backlog is big enough so I don't really need to buy it atm. But there always is the small part in the back of my brain who whispers: Dungeon Keeper...

I was a huge fan of Dungeon Keeper on my old 486. I was put off by the reviews when I first looked at this game but it looks like the project has moved along since then. Thanks for the chance - and even if I don't win thanks for making me take another look at this!

I only recently played Dungeon Keeper 2. It was pretty nice. The AI was kinda derpy and the possession camera made me feel ill but those are issues with its age- nothing that can't be done better in the "new" one (assuming they didn't fuck it up of course). ^_^
Thank you very much! :D
