Spelunky Classic (the original freeware version for Windows) because it is a masterclass in game design. For a one-man, free project to have so much strategic depth and replayability is a magnificent achievement in my book. I keep coming back to it regularly close to a decade after first playing it and it continues to entertain. Not surprising that it was ranked the best free PC game by Rock, Paper, Shotgun.
I'd highly recommend it to any fans of difficult, strategic platformers who haven't tried it or its sequels. It's downloadable here:
