Not a fan of dubstep or Monstercat, plus I don't have a controller to play this with. Any PC rhythm games out there that someone could recommend?

Osu! (non-steam)
I beat bit trip runner with a keyboard, it's more a timing-based memorising platformer that is timed with the music. The first one is harder and more pixel-ly in graphics, the sequel has checkpoints.
Audiosurf is good if you have your own music files, is a tetris-y match-3 game mixed with guitar hero.
And I've not played MUSYNX myself, but I've been following it a while & watched others play, might be something you're interested in.

Ooh, you need a controller to play it? I don't have it. Well I have one but not sure if it's good, it's razer hydra.
