As I feared in the preambles to yesterday's giveaways, the weatherfolk are now thinking that here in NYC we'll get rain this weekend and maybe just a tease of snow, if any. We're snow-starved; last year we had none at all, just a vigorous dusting barely solid enough to qualify technically as snow but not enough to actually be snow. The Governor, still standing firm on snowfall this afternoon, said that we here in the city have now gone 690 days without snow. That's a lot of snow-less days, for a city that knows its winters.
