Sadly, I have ran into two giveaways that ended up region-locked. I agreed to let the giver delete them/reroll, but it is unfortunate on some that didn't have the info (one from humble, and another from steam around the new gifting policy beginning). I kind of chuckled at your description though, since I have seen many of these long lists going up with two letter abbreviations lately for games that are locked out of certain areas.
