While it says that you have to have a controller to play it, you don't actually need one. I found the game to be easier to control with my keyboard than with my controller actually.

Yeah, didn't have any problem with beating it on my own using only keyboard. I don't know what people find so hard to play it with K+M.
But at the same time they say this stuff when it comes to Remember Me, Devil May Cry and many others with which I haven't had problems while playing without controller.
Maybe they're just used to play with pad and not K+M, I dunno :D
