Great job. My favorite joke was the end roadwork signs.
I have some information that you might be able to include in your set, to get a better impact.
Different kinds of soaps all have the same active ingredients, it's just different amounts of scents and moisturizers. They are literally selling us the same thing multiple times, and it used to be one bar of soap was used for everything. By combining the features together, we are going back to what we started with.
Regarding foaming soap, there's a a study titled "Effects of Foam Hand Soap on Water Consumed During Typical Hand Washing", by Gene Topper Ph.D. and Thomas Marting B.S.ChE, about how much less soap and water is saved by using foaming soap, because people hardly spend any time washing their hands when the soap is already foamed up. It has no care whatsoever for how effective hand washing is, just how much water and soap it uses, as though that's what's important. Washing hands is the most effective thing to prevent food-borne illness, and the water it uses is a fraction of a percent of household water usage, witch itself is a small fraction of total water usage.
Flies actually have a real behavior that's even better than looking around. They rub their front feet together after cleaning themselves, to measure how big of a ball of dirt they collected while cleaning, and if it's too big, they do another round of cleaning. The front leg rubbing looks like someone rubbing hands together and has a very scheming look to it.
Also, some jokes may only apply to a limited audience, for example most areas don't have high-voltage warnings on power lines and taxis are only common in large cities.
Regarding the roadwork sign joke, it worked well, but the transition was too long. I think it would work best if you jumped right to protesters leaving the signs, without dwelling on whether or not protestors are or had been present.

thanks for the information and feedback! i was trying to make short stories out of one-liner joke ideas but i've had multiple people now say the end road work sign joke in particular was too drawn out so very likely i stretched that one too far.
