The original as in Human Revolutions? Or the original Deus Ex?

OG people-made-of-computers character-models-made-of-cardboard Deus Ex. Really enjoyable game.

Indeed, it is. Good music, great writing. Long live LAMs and the tranq-dart wrist crossbow!
...Okay, fine, and the GEP gun too. :P
What was your favorite part?

First mission. Forgot to free big-ally-guy from his cell. He called me out on it later. Did not expect minor things like that to come back up, and definitely didn't think that they'd let me get away with skipping an essential part of the mission.

Gunther! Yeah, it was so well-designed in that regard. What finally convinced me to play the game was seeing the unexpected ways the situation with Lebedev could play out. However, the best part for me might have been the situation with Paul in the hotel room. You know the one. The fear. The rage. The WTF when I got shot.
Also some of the chatter.
"I'll BURN like the BRIGHTEST STAAAR!"
"Oh, you're gonna BURN alright..."

I see that you prefer the original...but why? I think it's pretty awesome.

I've never been a stickler for graphics, and the original makes a bit more sense. I finished the first mission having forgot the big guy in his cell (one of my primary objectives) and the game not only let me keep playing, but called me out on it later. That was pretty unexpected. It's like if John Connor died in Terminator 2 but Arnie still killed the T-1000.
