Level 3. There are reasons behind that, and also behind Agony.
This may be it... I am stepping back. I will not be maintaining my threads. I will not be replying to anything after today, for the most part, until more solid rules are set in place. I will stay in groups I didn't already mention leaving, if you were one of those. I might consider entering a few giveaways, but mainly whitelists, and some group stuff I didn't exit. I can only break so many rules and feel okay doing so... so I limited the damage so to speak, and my conscience is okay with where I am at.
If you want to send a message, please do so through Steam after 12:00 AM Monday 11/26, Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). I am not cutting ties immediately, but Steamgifts is fairly lifeless and overall useless for me at the moment. I will only respond to the few groups I still wish to participate in... if it's going to be after this time on steamgifts site - and thanking people if I join anything public, which is highly unlikely.
Anyway, after my pontification... On to the good stuff!!!!

If you're into cleaner vocal-style power metal, this band, Domine features a lot of nice work around the books. Never have read them, but their singer, Morby, is one of my favorites. Can hit some nice whistle register notes... I think it's in the "alien register" as I call it. That song above, Defenders (switched it from Dragonlord), has some scary high notes at the end...

Hah! I think gaming as a youngster caused me to just lean towards that style... Nintendo-esque in some cases (with the more Power Metal-style stuff), but it's got that ... charged up battle feeling that I love! Lots of positive bands in some of the cleaner metal as well, as opposed to some extreme metal, which I know a lot of as well... Just always been into lots of underground music, whether playing it, or listening.

And... I also have rules to circumvent those rules, making some immune, even if they are not whitelisted. It's a little bit cheapish of me, but I guess it's something I'll run with as long as it's allowable! We'll see who catches on and who does not.

Well, nope not rude. I'm still split on how much I'll do with steamgifts, but I want to give it one more push while I see if the rules get ironed out. If in... say a month or two, still no changes in the crazy rule... maybe I go then.

Well, I saw that they are working on a rule-clarification, but I don't think it will ever be as literal and exact as you wish it to be. Interpretations from creators side will always be a thing. Hell, even proper laws have that, court interpretations to fit the idea of the law, not the actual wording as that cannot cover all aspects.
But don't let that ruin all the fun for you, don't throw the baby out with the wash water, you know?
I figure, why not?! We're all mad here!! Stick with this instead, muuuuch more fun that way! ;-)
There's quite a few who will miss you if you leave, I think even some of those who don't like you will miss you - I mean; they need someone to spew shit at sometimes, no?! And it's always more fun to spew shit at someone who does his/hers heartily best to spew back, to shoot you down. Forum arguing/trolling is the best form of interwebz entertainment, whether you are involved or just eyeing it from the shadows. And constructive too..... Hahahahahaha!
I did see your game, and I thought about it, and made my choice, I'm staying clear of it this time. I'm always trying to stay off as many black lists as possible (even if that's hard to believe that once you've read some of the comments/discussions I've entered here...) even if the whole thing is just for the hell of it, for fun.
But it is an interesting idea, I'll give you that!

Thanks a ton! Oh, and by the way, in my specifications, you are immune to blacklisting there - it's a sort of ... elaborately designed whitelist giveaway, where entry is allowed from public as well, but it could cost them if they're not on there via my whitelist check mentioned.
I won't suddenly remove all my whitelist on final day and then blacklist everyone. ;) That'd be a horrific thing to do, and there's no way I could ever stick around here after something like that. Even me, at my worst couldn't be that harsh. I'm pretty manic though at times, of course. Especially after my 9th or 10th cup of coffee. Nah... I have two or three max most days. Even skip a day here and there. I don't want to have to worry with headaches if I suddenly had to stop for some reason over several days... caffeine withdrawal headaches are pretty nasty at times.
All at your discretion on my game though. Thanks for the rest of the good wisdom shared too. I'm trying to find a silver lining while I sorta mull over how I will proceed with steamgifts once my latest thing runs its course!
