What do you guys think about AI image generation? A great new tool, or the end of art as we know it? ^^

The end of the art as we know does not mean the end of art, so I'm not worried. What keywords have you used for those images? I assume Cthulhu or Lovecraft?

Yes, those, alongside parameters like "close-up", "long shot" or "cinematic". And I generally tried to describe the scene. Something like "tentacle monsters attack old warplanes at sea" or something.

I think it's cool, and in some ways it can be a new set of tools to both lower the entry for artists but also allow more advanced artists to take creative advantage of it. It's kind of another evolution in a sense (although a really big one), similar to how image and art software allows you to more easily do things then painting on a real world canvas. I also really think it will be especially great for replacing things like clip art and texture libraries, where some art is necessary to convey things, but quality isn't as important or it isn't the main aspect of the product. I guess in a financial sense, it could hurt artist though, so that would be the negative aspect of this.

Exactly. You can already create tilable textures with AI, for instance. This will just be a nice tool for artists in the future, and probably a real time saver. And it's great for amateurs like me who couldn't paint anything good if their life depended on it. I wonder what the next step will be. Maybe we have AI generated 3D models or video in a few years.

Didn't even know about that one. Interesting.

I like the Lovecraftian style/inspired art but I could feel a tiny bit of motion sickness from some of the swaying images which was weird.

Sorry, that wasn't my intention. There is a waviness effect on it, so maybe that's what causes it.

Yea it's the waviness but it's alright the art was still cool.
