You gently set Spudley down, making sure he faces away. Spuds doesn't need to witness what comes next. As you walk toward the king, you're uncertain if this is an act of vengeance for what he put Spudley through or a mercy killing. Either way, you know what you must do. Grabbing your sword, you approach the king from behind. Seizing a handful of his hair, you yank his head back, exposing his neck. With a swift, clean stroke, you slice a deep gash into his flesh.
To your shock, the king remains unfazed, not a drop of blood spilling from his wound. He turns to face you, his eyes pale and lifeless, and says, "rise my master?" As soon as the King says that, an immense torrent of blackish blood sprays from the king's wound, covering everything in the room. The piles of dead bodies begin to rise, filling the space and forcing you to the opposite end from Spudley. The bodies continue to accumulate, creating a sea of corpses that fill the entire room, leaving only a small circle in the center untouched.
In the center of the room, you see the dead bodies begin to suck their exposed treasures into their flesh. They then start vomiting molten metal onto the floor, the searing liquid quickly melting a hole that extends to the floor below. The bodies continue this grisly act, spewing molten metal until they fall into the hole, making way for the next set of corpses to continue the process.
The bodies, still vomiting molten metal, begin to march into the hole. As they fall in at a relentless pace, the room starts to clear, giving you enough space to move. You race to Spudley, who is not too far from to the edge of the now seemingly endless hole
Before you can reach Spudley, an overwhelming fear grips you, freezing you in place. All you can do is watch as Spudley lies helplessly on the ground. "Welcome, master," you overhear the king say. "Is it time to end the humans?"
"That potato," a terrifying voice responds. The floor shakes and burns with each step until you see the devil himself walk up and pick up Spudley. "All I want is my potato," the devil says.
"But mast—" the king starts to say, but the devil cuts him off, "That'll do, potato, that'll do." The devil starts walking back towards the pit, Spudley in hand.
The fear holding you back turns to anger. As you look towards the pit, you see the devil and the king jumping into it. "Spudley!" you cry out. Realizing you can move again, you sprint and leap into the pits of hell.
