Happy birthday to me, and happy Groundhog's Day/Lunar New Year/what-have-you to everyone else!
Tangle Tower is part of the long, long-running Detective Grimoire series, as well as a charming, lighthearted mystery game in its own right. And it does something I wish all point-and-clicks could afford to do, which is offer a bespoke line of dialogue for every item you show every character, every time you shove one in their beautifully-animated faces.
Thank yous are always welcome, but if you'd like to answer a question instead: what's the game you've loved the most recently?

Happy birthday! Here are some games I played recently-ish that you might enjoy:

I've definitely had my eye on Murder by Numbers. I enjoyed playing Picross, but it's hard for me to stay involved without a story of some kind to propel me through, so really it's a perfect fit.
God, will you believe that I was obsessed with Danganronpa long before its official release? Those high school days of tuning in to the text-based Let's Play and pressing play on the supplied audio clips to hear the voice-acting...I even got involved in a tabletop campaign where we did our own version. Fantastic times. It'll always have a special place in my heart, even though IMO the series peaked with its second game.

I am playing REalM: Walk of Souls. Its a very tough puzzle game, and has excellent visuals. I still haven't finished one puzzle, and I spent 5h on it.

To answer your question - I recently started playing Death Stranding. I've been enjoying it so far, but it's too early to say more that this.
And my second game that I simply can't put down - Monster Hunter: World (the Iceborne expansion to be specific). I loved playing MH on Playstation Portable years ago and wanted the series on PC ever since.

The Way - it was a story-driven puzzle platformer that maybe killed me more than it's nice, but had a lot of save points, so it's forgivable. Also finally, a puzzle game that is not just boards of the same problem, waiting to be solved, lol
Through The Fragmentation was a genuinely interesting game. It takes place in a weird world, with secrets waiting to be discovered. It's quite small, but that allowed it to be focused on the feeling of exploration.
Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition: playing it in coop. It's just a loud, colourful, over the top platformer-brawler that is entertainingly silly.

I liked The Way, its art is so gorgeous! Didn't finish it though. ^^"
And I didn't know Guacamelee is co-op, that's good to know!

If you'd start it with someone - other players can join in a few minutes into the story, after Juan gets his luchador mask. We were a bit confused :)

Happy (Late) Birthday~
Last month I finally got to Ken Follett's The Pillars of The Earth - I originally meant to play it for a reason that might seem insignificant to some, but I was quickly enchanted by everything about the game - the world, the story, the characters. It was a nice reminder that I like a solid period piece, even if I barely ever seek those out. I've now got my eyes on the original book and am hoping to read it soon :)

That's so neat that it introduced you to the book! I bet it'll be really interesting to read and compare what the devs did with the storyline to make it more interactive.

As for games I've played recently and loved?
Omg I loved the game Lost Words: Beyond the Page was a fantastic game, it got me hit in the feels in a way I haven't been hit in a hot minute.
Chicory A Colorful Tale is a great game that covers mental health issues in a really unique way with some really fun game play.
If you have VR I HIGHLY recommend the games Rag to Dishes and Ragnarock. Rags to Dishes is a cooking vr game that is such a blast! Ragnarock is a vr rhythm game that works my body in ways Beat Saber wishes it could and it has some fantastic music.
Songbird Symphony is a game I haven't gotten very far into yet, but it's an adorable little rhythm game/platformer.
A game that surprised me is a little puzzle game that I got on sale for a buck called The Impossible. It was very short. I beat it in about an hour, but it was very unexpected.
Gorogoa is a BEAUTIFUL handdrawn puzzle game that had me grinning ear to ear the whole time I played it.

I've heard of or played a number of those! I'm glad they live up to the hype. (And Gorogoa is one of my all time faves. It's just beautiful in every way.)
Thank you for mentioning Lost Words, I hadn't heard of it before and I immediately wishlisted it. It's so odd that it appears to have been passed over by the mainstream gaming press.

It has! I don't understand it either cause it's such a good game. It's one of the few times I played a demo and bought something THE DAY it came out. I normally wait for sales but I bought that game and played it almost immediately. I'm sure one reason may be that it was released on Stadia before it was released on steam. Even with that though I just don't get how I haven't seen more people play it.
