I can't try to redeem the key until I get my glasses. I can't see the tiny letters in the key page without 'em, and I can't get them until my girlfriend wakes up in about 3 hours. I wish I could still copy and paste it like I used to, but the new Steam UI doesn't allow me to. :(
You can't copy and paste in the new Steam UI? I do it all of the time. That's really weird. Also, you should be able to hit "view key" and then just press the "redeem" button, and it'll put everything into a dialog for you, and then you just click on the "continue" button in the Steam dialog that opens for you. No copy-paste necessary. :)
I just got back from Indiana...visiting family up there and working during the week remotely. There's some big meeting at work tomorrow for our group...not sure what's happening. Probably just news about how our fairly new, kind of experimental team is going to be measured going forward, but they've also laid a lot of people off the past few months, so hopefully it's not that. I'll know more by mid-day tomorrow. <shrug> Other than that, just living life...both kids are off at school now, so the house is weirdly quiet, but they're both doing well, so we're happy we did something right there. :)
Hopefully it is like you said, just a general kind of meeting and not more layoffs!
With the house being quiet, you have more time to create your next Trash Event, right? ;)
Things are going well for me. Finally getting my teeth fixed (have coverage now). I've gotten 4 root canals done in the last little while, and will be getting an extraction on the 10th(the crown broke off, so there is nothing but whatever is below the gumline). It would have been getting extracted anyhow, but now I will be getting it done by a dental surgeon rather than just the dentist. After that, just fillings and then, a CLEANING!!!! Yay! I cannot wait to get my teeth cleaned. It has been way too long. Sorry for the gory story!
