This giveaway is in support of my Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall mod.
Since SRR first came out our team has been working to reboot the original SNES game in the new SRR engine.
Progress has been slow but steady, and we hope to reach beta by the end of summer.

I have only played the SNES game, myself, so I guess it has to be my preferred game. I do intend to try them all eventually, though.
EDIT: Though, I did also play a Shadowrun-based MUD some time ago, called "Awakened Worlds".

Well, like all things it had its pros and its cons. Chargen was fantastic, very full of detail. Mechanically it seemed well-balanced so far as I'd gotten. There were some kind of, "What?! That's bullshit!" things here and there, though. Many runs didn't seem to have alternate paths, turning them into a deathtrap or outright impossible if you didn't have exactly the right ability at the right time. And there were also "instant death" rooms, that you just died upon walking into. That really turned off the group of friends I was playing with, so we kind of fell out of it. I was the last one still playing before I finally gave it up. All in all, though, it was a good time.

Since I never had a SNES nor SEGA device - the only possible answer for me is: I prefer FPS Shadowrun games :)

Zamg. thanks OP I've only played the new Shadowrun Returns (not SNES and w/e). It is.. Amazing. The writing is some of the best i've seen in a game. The combat could be a little more complex tbh, but its still extremely fun :)

I've been holding off doing a review on SR:BL in hope that I would be able to say something nice.
The cliff notes summary - appealing art, potentially decent plot, disappointing otherwise. The potential is there, and I'm hoping release day will change my mind, but unless there are major changes it doesn't even hold a candle to SRR.
