Well depends. If I don't invite anyone to my wedding, then it would be funeral, but even then I don't care as I am not alive anymore to care about. Just remember me with smile and don't worry about weddings, funerals, or whatever.

I think the only people I'd really need at my wedding are the one I'm marrying and the one performing the ceremony. As long as the wedding occurs, it's a happy occasion no matter who else is there. However, the fewer people that mourn me when I die, the sadder my life must have been

i would never get married i have severe Social anxiety disorder i have no social life at all and i prefer it that way.
i have in the past tried to conquer my anxiety but everything only makes it worse just because i don't want to interact with other people doesn't mean i don't want be able to.
the only people i want or need in my life are my brothers and mother who are ridiculously understanding about my various problems and help me as much as they can.
and as far as funerals go i am dead that's it end of the line i won't know if anyone is there so its pointless if people come.
some people seem to think that not going to a funeral proves that you don't care about the person and i completely disagree.

I have not-so-mild-but-not-over-severe social anxiety disorder too. I barely have friends in real life because I choose to have none, but online, I can chat around, be myself because I do not need to see them in person and I can think before I write.
You are lucky to have family who understands, but sadly mine doesn't. They cannot understand why I hate to mix around and why I like to hide away from public. I was being dragged out to meet people too sometimes. My brothers? I barely talk to them and they don't really care for me anyways.
For me - if there is wedding, I only need my family; if there is funeral, just throw my ashes into the sea, I am fine :)

Weddings I feel is a joyous occasion and should be shared with as many or few people as u chose. After i'm dead i won't know who comes to my funeral so it doesn't really matter.
