In most Tower Defense games, you are unable to change the monster's path, and even when you can the game hardly ever get affected by it. In contrast, AMazing TD games are mostly won by building smart long mazes and not by having the best towers. Making players think deeply about finding the longest maze is a very hard mathematical problem (NP-hard). So there are no bots that outsmart humans and players have to rely on their strategic skills. Maps come with unique features that change people's maze-building strategies each time they play on a new randomly generated map.
