Put a bit of uranium on your Plants VS Zombies. Ok, a trackload of uranium. WAIT A MOMENT. If a plant gains sentience, can a vegan morally eat it?

It's actually an interesting question, considering there have been quite a few studies in the past years with plants who do "realize" what is going on around them and react to it. Where does "sentience" start? I´Plants reacting to temperature and light for their lifecycle probably not. Groiwng better with music? "Remembering" experienced fire? Growing better with music? I don't know.
Though I'd guess considering the vegan part... either going full frutarian or considering that a multiple of plants would have to die to feed the animals and therefor choosing the lesser damage. Just a guess though :D
