Wings is a classic. No glorification of war there. Very gritty and real (from memory, I was maybe 14).
We got Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters free with the Amiga 500 when we bought it. Don't think it was a very popular game but it was pretty amusing and the intro music still comes to mind easily. :D

Never heard about that game, but, again, it's a great theme. Come to think of it, it's harder to find a bad one ;)
