Giveaway is over. I e-mailed the winner with the key.

A key for the game Anodyne. Anyone can enter, there's only one key to win, though. This is also a test on my part of the steamgifts giveaway process (I'm one of the creators of Anodyne).

edit It seems response is pretty positive to this. I'll probably do a bigger giveaway in a week or sometime around the steam summer sale.

From my own experience, giveaways tend to create some attention for the game. If I see a game that I don't know as a giveaway, I often have a look at the steam page (unless the name of the game makes it obvious it is one I'm not interested in)

I've encountered a lot of games that I didn't know previously existed, simply from giveaways on here. Granted, some have been ones that I looked at and dismissed, but a shocking percentage have been games that I thought seemed really interesting. It can be hard to stand out in the sea of indie games.
