Stumbled upon Ebird site today, so now I'm sitting here spamming "surprise me" button, learning about some random birbs and listening to their songs, because why not. My favorite so far in terms of being both cute and having a beatiful song is Slate-colored Solitaire.

I've always been partial towards Kingfishers when it comes to looks. I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe it's the turquoise/orange contrast that does it for me. I must admit that their long, somewhat menacing beaks detract from the cuteness factor and their songs are nothing to write home about - it's almost like a mouse squeaking.

Similarly to this, I love the subreddit r/PicsOfUnusualBirds. So many incredible-looking birds out there and all I have here are sparrows and pigeons xD (they are fine but they're not a Silver-cheeked Hornbill)
