Saw this on tv tonight - medical researchers are trying to grow nerves from nerve samples at the back of the nose, (apparently the nerves in the nose can regenerate). If they are successful the nerves will be implanted back into that person to hopefully enable them to recover use of their legs, or whatever part of their body has nerve damage.
Really hope this can be achieved.

Interesting. Reminds me of liver transplants, which are far less in demand because livers can regrow, and hence live transplants are much more common.

Scientists have managed to bring back a previously extinct species of Middle Eastern tree, and it could be the tree which was responsible for the medicinal plant extract "tsori" described in the Bible.

Also, scientists have recently managed to revive recently dead cells. These "undead" cells have been observed to do different things they did before revival, such as healing surrounding cells. This could be a major breakthrough for medicine.
