Real True Train Facts #2740

Steam game Train Simulator is famous for having an absurdly large amount of DLC. The developers have released more than four different expansions, at a cost of over $20 total. Gamers were so incensed by the publishing company's obvious and exploitative cash grab that they review bombed the game, but they accidentally chose the wrong one and brought down the score of the very similarly named "Mass Effect 3", which then became one of the most undeservedly panned games of all time due to a simple mix-up.

After gamers realized their mistake, they apologized in true gamer fashion, because they are known across the internet to be one of the most forgiving subcultures. The proper review score for ME3 was reinstated, becoming the second highest rated game by users on Metacritic of all time -- bested only by the universally acclaimed masterpiece Fallout 76. Meanwhile, the Train Simulator devs apologized for their greedy monetization scheme and made all current and future expansions to their game available for free. As such, all was right in the gaming world and there was never a gaming-related controversy ever again.
