OK not sure what genre you like, but how about and alien living on a space station circling our sun.

Flim was having a bad day. There he was, minding his own business, recording a movie in a theater when his holo-suit's batteries died. Now he was running as fast as his tentacles could carry him while being followed by police dogs who wanted nothing more than some extra-terrestrial calamari. He jumped a fence. That should slow down the dogs. Which way was his ship? The chase had turned him around. That way. He continued running and hopped another fence. Flim landed on a hobo.
"Nooo! I told them I was being targeted! He stole my DNA!" The hobo's shouts followed Flim as he ran.
This was dumb. It was supposed to be a simple media copy mission, but noooo, he had to try to do it the human way and record the movie while watching it on the big screen. He should have just copied the theater's hard-drive and taken it back to the station to watch. He would have been safe and sound surrounded by his screens and empty pop-corn bags.
There was his ship. It was surrounded. This was going to be very difficult to explain back at the station. Entertainment Media Harvester was his dream job. Flim whipped out his ship's remote and ordered it to fly over and fetch him. He should have just waited for the torrent to be available. He hoped he wasn't fired as he exited the earth's atmosphere.
