i really loved these games, i don't see many games like them. closest is maybe the batman arkham series? like a 3d metroidvania. i'd love to find more like it. there's another sequel called supraworld in the works and it looks like more of the same.
is the supraland dlc any good? i thought i remember it being reviewed negatively, maybe low-mixed, when it came out, but now it's showing mostly positive. at $14 it's a tough buy.
I wanted to suggest Journey To The Savage Planet since it is often described as Adventure Metroidvania, but I see you already played it :) Does it fit the bill?

This one fixed some of the irritations of the first game (navigation was a bit clearer, much less combat for the sake of combat)
