This game came out very quietly on June 27th, so I'm creating this giveaway in hopes that more people will know that there's now an English version now available. :)
Please note that the game is very rough around the edges, and there are technical and translation problems, hence why it has mixed reviews. The game is finishable, but you may not want to play it until it's patched.

The same thing with Danganronpa :/. They announced the launch date, but never updated Steam to reflect this fact. Unless you followed the news about this game, most peeps completely missed/forgot about it :/.

It's fine to play on it's own. Each of the game is it's own individual story, with each version being a more advanced upgrade of the last.

Yes; there are actually 5 Princess Makers total! :O (1, 3, 4, and 5 were never received English translations.) The publishing company, CFK Co., Ltd has the rights to publish all 5, and has said in (Japanese) interviews that they plan to release them on Steam in multiple languages. Presumably in Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese.
It's such a shame this has been under the radar. I try and tell everyone I know, lol.

I played the first one .... and i heard the second one was not that good so i never played it :| Didnt know they actually made 5 ... guess its one of those cases where they tough it wont sell on the west ...
The game can be ridiculous if you try your best to do stupid stuff with it, and thats a main selling point for me :P

I don't know where you heard that 2 is not as good because everything i read on Steam said that 2 is way better than 1. I bought both this sale and played them. 2 is the better game.
**Edit: I just realized that 2 was released on Steam before 1 so perhaps you did mean 2 as "the first one?" In that case i would agree with you.
I want to get 3 as well but i'll wait until at least next year to consider buying it. These guys don't finish their work before they put the game up for sale and it takes them a while to get everything working as it should.

Damn, how i just discover this? Thanks!! When I was little I remember playing the second part and getting really frustated with it, but I loved that game so much that I ended buying it when it came to Steam (i need to keep playing it) haha.
I wish they translate the fifth soon, because I remember there was a fantranslation that was never completed :(

Yay, fifth game powah! But we will have to get trought the fourth first, and I've heard it's lackluster in terms of endings :( (At least you can go yuri there, which is a nice touch)

I've actually played a lot of 4 before (using a Japanese CD a Japanese-to-English auto-translator program), and I found it fine in terms of endings. Looking at the wiki, there are 34 endings (5 of which were added to Windows PC version, 4 of which are shoujo ai! which I'm also a fan of. :) It's strongly story based, so I guess you could say that you trade more endings (PM3 has 60, for reference), for a much stronger story with multiple routes and many events, which I think was a good decision.

Oh, I see now, it's undertandable if there is more story to each ending. I may not be able to turn my daughter into the devil queen, but I get to see more story development (and four shoujo ai endings is more than I expected, tbh, not that I'm complaining :D). Nice trade. You got me interested, thanks ^^ (or not because now I will have to buy it when it's available, hahaha)

Mwahaha, mission accomplished. >:] There are actually dark endings in Princess Maker 4 and 5. Let's see, PM4 has both queen of the Demon World, as well as marriage to a demon prince, as well as some miscellaneous dark ones. It's true that it's more toned down version, as instead of hell, it's more like a world of neutral spirits, monsters, and demons.

Thanks! I found out recently during the sale - scouring every discount on steam did pay off since a bunch of releases completely flew under my radar including the new princess maker.
I guess no pr/marketing the amount of releases and news such steam sale, e3 and such distracting news sites... that happens :P
