It's a Steam API thing. Even if you got the GOTY edition, Steam registers the game in your library as the base edition and might recognize individual DLC. But that doesn't map to the Steam ID this GA is pointing to.
To get around this about the best you can do is put the GOTY edition on your "do not show" list.
