For clarification, the link in your original post is to the Double Fine bundle, not the winter sale. The winter sale info is at the HB storefront. I was slightly confused at first when I followed your link. :) Have a random giveaway.

I limits our choices and makes buying bundles more expensive. Having it cheap on Steam is nice but it comes at the cost of excluding almost all 3rd party retailers :/.

It's all relative I guess. It sounds weird to say it makes bundles more expensive. I look at it as Steam being more attractive instead. I'm hoping when the AU dollar finally gets put on Steam we'll see some favorable prices too. Our dollar fell something like 50% over the last 2 or 3 years yet we still pay the same US prices, but I don't view it as prices going up 50%. Given that Steam has a nice policy on refunds now and that Steam wallet can be made from selling cards or things on the market, not to mention the benefits of being able to trade ROW copies to others, I think it would be nice indeed to have purchases biased towards Steam's own store than third party stores. It kinda drives me crazy seeing ~ -20% for CAD and NZD from Enhanced Steam on most pages.

Exactly how I feel. It's not really worth buying from 3rd party retailers anymore except for a couple bundles here and there. ; A ;

Maybe because there are some more build your bundle sales coming, most of the publisher previously featured in a build a bundle last year have their games not on sale (yet)

I've checked games I'm interested in and as far as I could tell they were either about equal to or greater than the Steam sale prices.

Am I right in thinking Humble won't let you buy multiple copies of a game at once? If you could, the Double Fine bundle might be worth doing for some trade extras.

Anybody interested in splitting some Double Fine games? I've been looking to buy Broken Age, unfortunately I just bought Grim Fandango on steam and I have all of the other games that I'm interested in.

I'd happily trade Grim Fandango for a couple of games from my list, if anything interests you.

Is Humble Bundle coupons stackable? Like the Life is Strange coupon from the last bundle.

I tried applying the coupon but it is not working, the price is not changing.

Why are people mad at Double Fine? Is it because of the abandoned Spacebase DF9 or is there something else? :o

DF9, Tim attacking customer base, Tim being very bad at managing any game. Mostly those...

Broken Age

They abandoned Spacebase DF9, also similar story with Broken Age, they don't give a fuck fixing multiplayer lag issues in Iron Brigade, and probably more.

is the second half of Broken Age so bad? because the first half was pretty awesome.

They froze the development of the game for like 1 year, and after that the game is disappointingly short, is like you get a Telltale game and cut 3 episodes out of 5 leaving it with just 2 episodes and charge money for like all 5, disappointing in that way.

did you play it?

Only first episode and it was good, but for 2 episodes game is too expensive even if its good.

well, as explained below, if you measure the price with play time, all Telltale games are too expensive aswell (25€/10 hours). ^^

well, here's what i think about that:

  • according to howlongtobeat.com the game is more than 10 hours long. that is pretty normal for a point 'n' click adventure in my experience.

  • Telltale games are usually ~10 hours (1.5-2h/ episode). so it's about the same, actually. how did you come up with those numbers? you claimed it's like 2 Telltale episodes long. the first chapter alone is that long, and the second one is significantly longer.

  • you don't own the game. so i assume your knowledge about it comes from typical internet trolls who spam the forums with their hate posts. you know how the internet is. people like to complain about anything and anyone. and they tend to bend the truth quite a bit. i heard critisism which may very well be valid (second half not as good as first half). but whoever said to you the game is not long enough, clearly has no idea what he is talking about. ;)

my big critisism about Broken Age is, that the second half took so long to make. i finished the first chapter, which was amazing. and then it took them so long that i just lost interest. i will finish the game some day (in fact, our discussion makes me want to play it ^^). but so much time will have passed then between the two chapters. this is very unfortunate, and this never happens with Telltale games. you wait maybe 2 months for a new episode (never longer than 4 months).

Okay, it's hard to say for sure with so many deals, but I've waited for the yesterday's countdown to run out
and checked if there's any different offers today. If so, I couldn't find it ... it looks like they just arranged the
offers differently today.

Build Your Own Bundle could be attractive if there're more titles.
I thought it included witcher 3 but it looks like a bug now since it disappeared when I reloaded the page.

For some reason the Double Fine bundle page included a bunch of other games when I checked earlier. But when I added some to my cart it wasn't counted as part of the bundle deal, so I guess it was an error. Shame.

The store is organized in a really weird way right now. When I click on "Bethesda sale," it shows me a few Bethesda titles at the top, then a bunch of other games (some of which aren't even on sale) below that.
