XP is the best only uses .6 GB RAM compared to 1 GB with windows vista, 7, and 8. Also is compatible with a lot more games. Also gets 20% more frames per second in dx9 games

XP sux, I have a Vista, and I am happy. It just needs at least 3GB of RAM to be without some slowing down, that's all. It's like Windows 7, just with worse performance. People still insults Win Vista, I guess they don't know how to work with it, or you know, 1 guy say Vista sux, and everyone need to repeat the same crap after him. A lot of people saying Vista sux, even didn't try that system, but everyone says that Vista sux, so they have to say the same...
Sure, Vista isn't the best, but still better than Windows XP and Windows 8.

Vista DID suck.
Its basically Windows 7 now with 1 or 2 missing/different features.

Windows XP still works great. I have not had any problems with it yet. I have a laptop with Vista and it is complete garbage even with a lot of ram.
Actually Windows XP is still the 2nd most used operating system with 19% of computers using it.

I have always just preferred a black background with as few icons as possible. I'm running XP with a black background and the basic my computer, my documents, recycle bin (which is disabled) and then have a few internet browsers and media players down in the quick launch bar.

I could, but it is NSFW and I'm sure I'd get in trouble for posting it.

Actually, there is no rules against NSFW sharing.
Unless it's your icon.

Might as well post a black image. Its an orgy.
I really don't remember why I started using this background. Probably to annoy someone.

says the guy with the COD "cracked server" app on the desktop ;D
However, what really interests me: what's hidden behind "Achtung?" And why did you write "Stop" instead of "Stopp"? And why would you make such folders? Who do you want to scare? ^^

nah i have cod2 org but nobody plays it anymore, so it is only for cb ^^
I had full desktop so i decided to clear it, in achtung are games, why would i write stopp(!?), is stop folder is steam, xfire,desura,skype,..., tetris is computer stuff, rock some shitty stuffs
.. how can i scare some1 with this funny unusual folders? :D

Achtung (attention!) and Stopp is German. I am German. It sounds like nothing I want to click without a second look and with these icons... Clicking the app on my desktop which has your stop-icon starts ccleaner.exe/auto/shutdown on my PC. So I would be scared :D

I have that wallpaper in the OP. It's cute, but I can't see myself using it on anything but a laptop (given the minimalist shtick). lol Nostale... do people still play that game? I remember being a part of it years and years back as a fire mage. The market zone was an absolute laggy mess.

Not hating just asking, but what is the purpose of linux? Like what does it do differently?
Comment has been collapsed.
It needs less resources, is much safer, better costumizable and most distros has software package systems. The biggest problem is that there is much less commercial software available (espacially games) but for most programs there are good alternatives available. Most people who use Linux have it as dual boot with Windows (e.g. Linux for normal use and Windows for gaming.).
To answer your question: most Linux user just want to try something different than just Windows everyday and everywhere.

For me it's not all about things that Linux does. It's more about the stuff that Windows doesn't, like... y'know... keep running. Aside from that, I prefer the interface, multiple virtual workspaces, terminal and the way software is managed.
I know you can get most if this in Windows as well using various third-party solutions, but it just doesn't feel right.

I have a BASH script that changes my background randomly every minute. That one just happened to be set when I took this screenshot.
