I probably can't help you answer that but it may help others answer if you give them an idea of what types of games you want it to be able to run and possibly how big of a laptop you don't mind getting. Just some things that may help, hopefully someone else can give actual suggestions though.

CS:GO is incredibly CPU heavy if you want over 300fps, just letting you know. Aim for a faster processor not video card in that case.
As for your actual question, I can vouch for either rjtech or xotic pc as suppliers of decently cheap gaming laptops.

Powerful gaming laptops are pricy.
I bought the Asus ROG G751JY with the GTX 980M + 24 GB RAM for 2000 €uros late 2014 and love it to death still like at the first day.
Wanted to suggest the alternative route to get a stronger but used one instead of a less powerful but brandnew one
when I saw the post from d3m4n above >>> That Rig from 1.699 discounted @ $994 - That's a steal! >>> Go for it!! :D

This is a great deal imo: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXO0PO2
I'm considering getting one myself, even though I'd have to pay to get it shipped to me.

Since Black Friday is here and Cyber Monday is coming soon, do you guys have any suggestions on what gaming laptops to buy? The laptop I have is old and whenever I use it, it automatically shuts down when it overheats (Acer). I'm on a $1,000 budget and I'm looking for something that'll last me awhile.
Games I play:
League of Legends
CS:GO
Don't Starve Together
Overwatch
Hearthstone
Black Desert Online
