been seeing it a lot here and not enough people are entering those giveaways makes think that the game is or was free somewhere....

The base game is around 2.50 euro on Humble Bundle currently. The GOTY edition is around 9 euro.

I heard that Fallout 76 owners that logged in before the new year came would recieve the classic fallout games for free. Although I am not sure how true that is so dont quote me.

It's true. That said, it's also true that those same games were given free by GoG before, so... yeah...

Also, I'm utterly unsurprised at how bad FO76 ended up being, especially since Bethesda refuse to get a new engine going, so they're mcgguyvering a boatload of stuff to get FO76 to work. Also, microtransactions that are about the same or worse than some of the worse gacha games on mobile.

I don't think it's all that bad. They're at least pushing updates and adding content. At least they didn't stick us with a broken game and leave. Yeah not having human npc's sucks but after listening to the holotapes and the robot npc's, you start to understand why. Microtransactions are optional, always cosmetic aesthetics I dont see a big deal in that. There's so many games that have them now.

There's microtransactions and microtransactions. Warframe does them pretty much perfectly. FO76 overprices their shit to insane levels.

It's true, but it was fallout 1-2-tactics. Turn-based isometric rpg/tactics that are decades old for people who were failed in their mmo-shooter-survival game :D I love the old ones but Bethesda is so tone-deaf with this 'sorry' message that it's borderline insulting :D

It would have been a bit more kind if they offered Fallout 3. A few of my friends are console gamers without a pc, so that gift wont be much.
