I share the same thoughts. I also got lovely group with wonderful people to chit-chat and play with, not to mention it's a giveaway group with additional fun about it; I find forum funny, sometimes not really (individual threads and posts, but still it's a drop in the ocean), very useful and informative, be it game related topic or something absolutely different.
Continue staying with us, try to be more active on forum and may you win something nice very soon ^_^

Your English is better than a lot of English speakers. Don't worry about it at all. :) And thank you very much for your kind words. I understand your concern, but Admiral Ackbar is wrong, I promise.

Welcome KittyIzual! I was shocked it was legit when I first joined too. Also nice first giveaway, better than mine was XD I gave away Bad Rats as I had a giftable copy from the winter sale still...be warned though giving games away is addictive as I've found out.

I thought those things at the begginning aswell, i thought it was just a marketing strategy, or a scamming site, after looking for a while i started asking about it, and a friend from a site sent me an invite (this was around 8 or 9 months ago), and honestly....i still wasnt convinced....
"People giving away stuff....for free?"
"Without asking for anything in exchange?"
"REALLY???"
Then, after a couple of months and entries, i won my first gift, and it just seemed surreal considering how hostile the internet as a whole can be (i know a couple of exceptions but its with psychology groups or people i've actually met IRL from other countries), so finding this site was fresh air for me. From that point i've been trying to go clean on my job to get myself a valid credit card to actually give back, because, lets be honest, you dont see this kind of attitude even in real life.
So yeah.....huge thank you to all of you.

Welcome to steamgifts. I'm glad you are enjoying this great community. Your English is fine and clear; at least it has less typos than mines lol(English is my first language, Spanish is my second). I hope you enjoy everything that this community has to offer, like the forums, chat, puzzle, group and private giveaways.

Yeah, for me, finding this site was very heartwarming. I had just got done dealing with a bunch of crappy traders, something I didn't want to do but I had won things from the holiday event I didn't want, so I was particularly disgruntled with how greedy people can be, and then I found SteamGifts!
Anyways, welcome to the ranks and enjoy your stay :)

I discovered this site about a month ago, because of a friend. He told me about a place, were you can get games for free, doing nothing and paying nothing.
I didn´t believe him. I said that no ones gives nothing for free in this world without receiving something. My first thought was that it´s a marketing strategy of a game store or something similar.
So i came here, and began to read the rules of the site, and i realized it was true, you can win games absolutely for free.
But I couldn´t believe that, and I thougth there´s a trap in something. Then I thought in the Account points. I realized that you need points to participate on the giveaways, so I thought, here´s the trap, the most you give, the most point you earn for win games.
Then I read the way of earning points and... I couldn´t believe! You DON´T earn any point for made a giveaway! and that´s not all... you gave points to the others by your giveaway!
So, that´s all... no trap inside. The people do this giveaways only for make another person happy. Only for the pleasure of sharing a game they liked or only because they don´t want it, and preferes to donate it to another who wants it.
Since then, I came here everyday. I read the forum (I know I have few comments, but I read near every post since then, that´s only that I don´t usually post), I laughed a lot in some post and comments.
And now, I participate in the giveaways, not only for the chance of win a game but only for realize that behind all of those giveaways, there´s a person who have this game, and prefers giveaway it than trade with it only for make someone happy.
This site gives me hope. This is the way I think the world should be. Giving without expecting to recieve something.
This is the best community I´ve ever seen. And I want to thank you.
This is my humble way to thanks the community
I wanted to do a better giveaway, but my steam wallet only allows me to buy that.
Sorry for the long text and my english. I did it the best I can.
Thank you and hope you enjoy!
