For some reason, I think it's the publisher...

I'm kinda sad for them, tbh. :( This was one of my top-5 wishlisted games before I got it some time ago.

Yes, you are right, it is a publisher thing. Maybe they think giving away some few keys (1000 10000 this time) they can give the game a little push of visibility (more people playing/idling cards)

I believe it's the "Like" of Indie Gala's Facebook page that is optional. The giveaway utilizes a Facebook app though, so FB is required.
