But what about "annonymous"? They sound like bad news to me. You can tell they don't give a fuck, they don't even spell right just to show their contempt for the system, man!

The "Annonymous" if this even spelled right, is "gray" hacker organization who targets corporations, governments and other "evil" entities and try to reveal there secrets to public. So, small fry like you are not on there target list.
Also, "first rule of Fight club. you don't speak of Fight club.", so this guy is fake.

Blackmail is blackmail whether the risk is real or not. The threat could have landed on a gullible Steam user, who might have panicked. In fact, I'm sure some people do fall for this.

"this is pure bluff." OHH in that case who cares!! really ?? He tried to get a item from that guy. That he bluffed that he would hack his account HAS absolutely nothing to do with reporting him or not. Of course he SHOULD! I mean by your logic a armed robbery where the robber threatened to kill someone with a unloaded gun (bluffing) the victim should not be pressing charges. A uncomparable situation(to some extent), but I hope this makes you understand the ridiculousness of what you just said

I did, you responded to someone that said to report him.
You argued that he bluffed and he would/could not hack... so naturally i assumed you were against the report, i mean why else would you respond (instead of a separate comment)in that manner to someone suggesting a report should be made(a reply to someone said to ignore it, making it appear you were on his side) ?
Maybe you did not say that specifically, but the way i see it you implied as much. Maybe you should write more clearly what exactly you are trying to say and where you do that ;) As i understand now you were justing pointing out his bluff which has nothing to do with the discussion you replied to...so i misunderstood you.

But he said he would get "annonymous" after me! Sounds scary!

Just FYI, people who can't even spell or type correctly don't tend to have enough brains to actually truly hack someone. That and most of the time when someone says an account is "hacked" it's not actually hacked. Hacking means they break into Steam's servers and steal your account that way. Most "hacking" efforts are actually account theft and accounts are stolen typically due to the user of the account falling to a phishing scam, losing access to an email associated with it or having a shitty weak password or giving out too much personal information to make it easy to gain access via a password reset. Also in some cases it happens due to being infected by a keylogger. 99% of "hacking" attempts are based on user behavior that makes it easy to compromise an account. Be smart and they'll move on to an easier target. But more than likely this is an empty threat to get you to give them the item.
Decline trade and block them. Report it to Steam. To be honest, unless this kid gains access to your email account that you have Steamguard associated with, they aren't getting in. Change the password to your email, make sure it is different from your Steam password.

I'm pretty sure he is not really concerned about that threat :-)

Yeah, but overall, better safe than sorry when it comes to account security. At the very least it's good info to know from someone who used to have to work with compromised accounts all the time. The vast majority were caused by a compromised email or a phishing scam.

What makes you think so ? That claim is ridiculous, people do try these cheap attemps.

So guys, should I just give him the Giftapult he wanted? I mean, it's kind of an expensive item but I don't want to lose my account!

Make a counter offer. Tell him you'll forgive him if he gives you all his goods.

He wouldn't be threatening him, just saying he exchanges pardon for items. Pretty fair deal.

But I think this guy is the real deal. All hackers use quotation marks instead of apostrophes right? I bet I'm being hacked right now! :O

As stated, ignore the kid. NO one admits to being from Anonymous. Using his steam name, even, kind of contradicts his idle threats.
Not to mention, REAL Anonymous users know how to spell properly.

But his Steam name uses all kinds of hacked letters! He's outside of the system, man! Or at least outside of the standard character set!

You have only one choice now, to avoid getting hacked.

I bet he spelled it wrong on purpose to cover his tracks! Now no one will ever find the real annonnymouses!
