I have my constant favourites, the multiplayer games I often play with friends, a list of unplayed games, which are then split into 6 groups of awesome to rubbish as I work through them.

Shortcuts (for non-steam games) and games. It's 30* times easier to find something if it's in alphabetical order over searching through categories.
(* the actual number may vary depending on the size of your library and unique personality traits)

... the steam app sucks major ass :/ makes me kinda think all they want to is to
lure you into buying games > then those games are in your library rather unattractively stored.
sorted my games once by A - AAA Category ... pointless + Steam doesn't even have proper naming,
some games "The XY" are merely listed as "XY" or vice versa" > causing even the alphabetical order to be fucked up.
got right now 3 lists > one hidden with uber shit games; one as "do not want" and another with all other games

I have "Favourites" and only Dota in that category.
Then I have "Games" where I have installed games that I play from time to time.
Then I have "Not installed" where I have put games that are not installed yet and waiting to be played or I already finished them.
And I have "Valve" category where I have only Valve games, and they are also shared with previously mentioned categories (Dota is in "Favourites" but it is also in "Valve", CSGO is in "Games" but it is also in "Valve")

"-" is simply trash category, anything that sucks really bad and duplicates go in there. Stuff like Titan Quest because there's Titan Quest: Immortal Throne, so there's never a reason to launch this one. Technically this group wouldn't even exist if the hide games feature existed back when this group was created. http://puu.sh/gZWDx/5a2045f3cd.png
Pick and play is a group for games that are simple to pick up and play whenever, roguelites and such.
"That category" is just simply for THAT kind of game, the kind of games that you just look at and they seem fine but they're just not good. Games that I never wanted to have. http://puu.sh/gZWLh/b33275c5a6.jpg
And games is simply where the newest purchased games go, current games I play and don't want to store in any category yet because I want to play those games.

Games I have yet to play are left unsorted in the Games category. The rest are sorted by game category with favorites marked for easy access, though I do have a category for junk games that I will be unlikely to play again so they do not clog up my other categories. Wish we could setup sub categories, but since I don't have that many games it isnt an issue yet.

Alphabetized... cause I'd probably already know myself what I'm playing now or playing just for kicks.

Hi Guys,
I´m thinking about it to sort my STEAM Library but I have no idea how to do it. By gamecategory? By played and not played? by getting 100% and under 100% achievements?
how did you do that?
Greetings from sunny Germany
