I doubt it. There was no lock when you activated it, so you weren't bypassing anything at the time (like by using a VPN or something else Valve frowns on) . I won a copy off GameMiner, activated it like a normal gift before the lock, and have been playing it right along with no issues.

sometime ago i received a gift for a russian copy of a game (Valiant Hearts: The Great War). said game wasn't region locked at the time, so i activated it without any issue, but a day later the game became region locked on the store page (the copy on my library it still works).
my question is: am i at risk of being banned or losing my account because of this game? i'm really worried about that.
