So I had hoped to leave for South Korea last month
but unfortunately there were many family issues
that prevented that from happening.
But, I still want to leave and go teach English abroad.
Do you have any suggestions on places I could go that you liked in the past?

Teaching is not only about knowledge of language, it is about people skill and teaching skills. It is nooooot eazy. If you are positive you are capable of actually explaining over and over something that you find trivial or even hard to imagine a "rule" for (unless you studied it), then go for it. Czechia or Slovakia may be interesting for you. Different culture, beautiful nature. People with amazing diversity, from extremely dense and agresivo to thinkers and artists and human rights supporters. Payment is not excellent, unless working in private sector, but you will be able to live well enough for the time you stay there.

You should change your avatar to a girl, then you probably get hundreds of replies in an hour.. :D

But as not, well, I will try to think of a helpful reply, the world is your oyster if you want to teach English (even possibly in English speaking countries, they still need teachers too.

I can't suggest based on experience as my travelling has been very limited to just western Europe so far, but my suggestion would be to pick a handful of countries you vaguely like the sound of, or want to help, and do some research about them. Culture and religion can be very powerful things in certain countries which may or may not be difficult for you, also even things like diet, types of creepy crawly, terrorism risk, civil war risk, all need to be looked into before deciding.

But whatever you do, good luck with it!

Someone I know went to Thailand to teach English a few years back. He's still there, so it means he likes it I guess ;)
He didnt need a degree or anything if I'm correct.

I could ask him if it would be ok if u contacted him, if you want to pursue this.
