I've once paid $25 for the Humble Indie Bundle V, and $10 for the Humble THQ Bundle.

What about you? :D

I usually pay one cent above the BTA amount.

The highest amount I have paid for the HIB is 4.80 dollars.

Yup, like me. I think that paying 1$ for those (usually) great games is a kind of sin...

Still feel bad by buying them at 5 dollars. When I get a job (and get the hell out of college) I will donate more.

Yup I also do the same.

Yes. I theorize that it is due to some persisting guilt over a smattering of piracy in my younger years. I also found myself tossing a lot of server donations and other "Internet kudos" once I was out of school and actually earning some money. Life is funny like that

You know, I already plan to go on a mission to buy everything I have pirated on my external. I bought Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and I don't even plan to play Fallout 3... lol

The music, I plan to buy only hard copies of them all so I can just have them stacked on a wall. Easily going to be a couple thousand CD's... Yes, I had a piracy addiction... X_X

Sadly they don't accept PaySafeCards, so I never bought any bundle. Even with a low budget, I'd have paid about 7 or 8€ for it (maybe even 10€ if the next games interest me), if I only could buy it...

If you can pay that much, you can trade with someone on SteamGifts. Just be careful of scammers

HIB are made to help charity. Most people pay 1$/BTA and nothing more, and even if it's not a huge amount I don't want them to take profit of this situation instead of helping charity.

The first one I picked up was the Android 6 bundle. My highest so far has been like $6. Can't really afford to go overboard.

I usually pay 10 - 15. More if I don't have any of the games, less if I have some already. But always more than the average.

...as you type this out on a piece of tech that would blow a 1920's dapper out of the water, over an invisible meta-network system that is available to roughly a third of the world's population (and you're using it to post on a videogame forum). Yeah, consider yo'self judged.

He's just saying he doesn't have much money, so he doesn't want to spend a lot on this games. Your 'judging' doesnt have anything to do with that afaik.

I'm simply pointing out that he isn't as "poor" as he likely perceives himself to be, and my "judging" is solely playing off of his own request of "don't judge me"

I'm not being daft, we are just all incredibly blessed and have a habit of forgetting such.

Possibly he heard about it from a friend and uses the library to come for the half decent community that people like you make look bad... you would be surprised how poor you can be and still get an internet connection. As much as i am for reminding people that they are blessed there is a certain respectful and disrespectful way to do it.

How do you know it's his computer, or that he's paying for internet/electricity, or that he just can't afford to pay more than a dollar for games RIGHT NOW

You're right, he's probably a hard-working kid in an impoverished state that just so happens to shoot the shit on a very niche video game forum. He likely hasn't had time to reply yet because he's too busy scraping the gum off the underside of trash bins for sustenance.

Do you really think people need to be dumpster diving victorian children to have more important priorities for their money than paying extra for videogames dude. Actually. Nevermind. I don't care enough about feeling superior to internet strangers for Not Being Poor Enough Probably so you can have fun with that by yourself

Who cares if he pays a dollar for something that costs a dollar. Also, technology doesn't necessarily equate to wealth. What if he had the BTA games, or just didn't want them? Even if he didn't, why should you berate him for his choice?

For the first 2 HiB's I gave 2-3$ instead of 1$, cause I felt that it's worth it to give some more to the developers than the minimum that they are asking. After those when more and more bundles started showing up I sticked with the minimum.

And I got that another bundle with SR later for dollar :(

When I pay the BTA I tend to go anywhere from 1 cent to 1 dollar more. A few times I have gone even higher. Mainly depends on how much I can honestly afford to spare really.

The only time I paid more than average is when I traded a TF2 key for the base Origin bundle.

When I had more available money I paid $2 for every game in the bundle I didn't previously own. Then I would move the sliders of games I previously bought to zero since those devs already got my money previously :P

Now, budget is a bit tighter and I usually buy bundles for $1 unless I really want the BTA games.

I'm not sure I've ever paid more than the minimum necessary to receive Steam keys. So, $1 for most bundles, slightly more if there's a preset price for the bundle like IndieGala.

I normally try and pay a couple of dollars if I actually want the games as anything more than Steam Library filler. I would love to pay more but I'm not exactly rolling in money.

`Bout 8$ this spring, for Brutal Legend BTA.

I almost always round up to the nearest dollar above the BTA. So usually $5 or $6. I have gone higher for developers I really like, but most often there is only a game or two in the bundle I want and the other keys I give away to friends.
