Feel free to skip first inFamous because it's kinda dull and you'll propably just get tired playing it. But the second one and the standalone DLC - Festival of Blood are both good and fun.
Uncharted trilogy of course is a must and can easily be the sole reason to own PS3.
God of War series is great as well and you should pick up Heavenly Sword as well if you like the genre and Dante's Inferno if you can't get enough of it because that game is a straight up clone of GoW.
Unless you don't like fighting games I would recommend picking up either Tekken 6 or Tekken Tag Tournament 2. IMO much better and bigger content that the Soul Calibur or Virtua Figher games have. And SF or DOA you can get on PC.
Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection might be something that you could be interested in because it contains all the games in the series that aren't available on Steam. After that you can continue on Steam with Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain.
Ni No Kuni might be a good pick if you are thinking about getting some JRPG or you're a fan of Studio Ghibli. But avoid that if you don't like the genre at all.
Heavy Rain is an awesome experience and I would recommend it to anybody. Beyond Two Souls on the other hand, not so much.
The Journey and The Flower are great little gems you won't be able to play on PC anytime soon. They're both great and The Journey especially is a must have.
If you want to try some racing get Gran Turismo 6. And if you like snowboards get SSX.
And look up some reviews for Yakuza 4 (I think it's safe to skip the first three) because that is an awesome game as well but it might not be for everybody.
And that's pretty much it. Most of the great former exclusives are now on Steam as well but all these won't be there anytime soon, except maybe the MGS games.
edit: teh grammars
edit2: forgot Yakuza

Well... that's just like... my opinion man.
I simply didn't enjoyed it most of the time and honestly, forced myself to finish it. The strongest element was the fighting and of course the whole concept of the game but everything else was very weak to me. The world is grey and empty, story is unoriginal and predictable and all characters except Cole are very unlikable and annoying. And trust me I'm not a hater. My avatar is myself made look as Cole McGrath :)

MGS series

Modnation is pretty good besides load times

You can play 2, 3 and peace walker, you will be missing 4 (of course), 1 but only you will have portable ops left for playing MGS5 someday.

My bad, i was referring the the Legacy collection, will not everybody can pay more than one game when they buy a console
Comment has been collapsed.
I think you're talking about the HD Collection the Legacy collection does include MGS 4
Comment has been collapsed.
All the primary games can be played on PS3
Metal Gear (included in the menu of Metal Gear Solid 3 HD)
Metal Gear 2 (included in the menu of Metal Gear Solid 3 HD)
Metal Gear Solid (PS1 Classic on PSN)
Metal Gear Solid 2 HD
Metal Gear Solid 3 HD
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD
Metal Gear Solid 4
Even Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are on PS3. :P

I would say no. Skip Metal Gear 1 and 2 if you must, they are rather dated and can be summed up rather easily, but the rest, not a chance.
Comment has been collapsed.
Absolutely not, MGS4 is the last one chronologically (excluding Reveangeance), it basically ties all the lose threads left over from the previous games.
EDIT: Also if you like the Saw games Saw 2 is a console exclusive.
So is: Soulcalibur IV and V.

Watch for PSN sales, there have been deals that rival Steam sales.
Which was horrible for my backlog. :P
Just be aware that while switching out the hard drive is easy, it only supports up to 1TB.

You "can" play every single Metal Gear game on PC except for MGS4.

I see someone mentioned the Tales series, that's a must. I also highly recommend the Neptunia series, along with Fairy Fencer F. Another one I enjoyed was The Guided Fate Paradox.
The PC Fairy Fencer F is the same, but the Neptunias are the originals, while the PC ones are ports of the Vita remakes. If you have to choose, I'd recommend Tales of Graces F.

Demon's Souls. My personal choice for reason to own PS3. Though Dark Souls and Bloodborne have since come out, and Dark Souls III is coming closer to this Demon's Souls, it's world design and haunting manner still holds off incredibly well that I say is well worth visiting. Especially one world which I like to think as what the original Castlevania would be in 3D.
Yakuza 2, 3, and 4 (more if you can speak Japanese). Open-city action RPGs set in Japan as part of the Japanese criminal organisation of the same name. Strong story, fun characters, lot of little things to do in game like play darts or Virtua Fighter or punch a tiger, on top of the stylish (for a RPG) combat.
Echochrome II, interesting puzzle title.
Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS series. Knowledge of Gundam before hand is not needed, as it's a fun fighting game between giant robots.

Folklore
Siren Blood Curse
Catherine
Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge
Drakengard 3
No More Heroes Heroe Paradise
Resonance of Fate
Lair
Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom
WET
Red Dead Redemption
Star Ocean The Last Hope
Shadows of the Damned
Silent Hill Downpour
Rain
ICO
God of War 2 (only that part of a series)
P.S. Heavy Rain and Beyond so-so, try to first one, then you need resolutely second

I recommend the Uncharted games, start with the first and if you like it, get the next two. I think the second is my favorite. They are great single-player, third-person shooter, story driven, platforming, cinematic action adventure games.

Let's see. Crazy physics. You eat. That's it. You just eat. And eat and eat. You are the hungry caterpillar. Except you are not a caterpillar. I don't know what Noby Noby Boy is, but he's one hungry mofo. And as you eat you grow. You grow until the planet can not contain you any more. You eat all life on one planet and move to the next. You are the harbinger of death in a stretchy, rainbow caterpillar costume. You bring doom and destruction upon all who see you. Everyone who picked on you certainly regrets it now. You are a God, there is no force in the universe to stop you.

Nah, icons are just glitching on NZ store recently. Annoying though, got my hopes up on some games when going through cheap stuff. :P

I know. PSN is bad service, I hope someday Sony make it better ;)

PSN is great. Some very nice sales. Wish more $1 sales would happen though. :P

As you wish, but it often does not work, the problem is not sensible to describe what languages presentedin bought the game (subtitles and audio), there is a normal directory search works disgusting (often simply can not find the right game on the direct request), as do console does not have the normal separation of folders and categories. If a lot of games in digital form - it's terrible.
I love Sony, but she have terrible programmers, a support - generally deserves special mention, and PSN on Steam background looks like the last century.
Comment has been collapsed.
Can't say language stuff effects me, English here. Store limitations aren't a problem, I use the browser store page when I'm buying stuff for easy access to reviews on GameFAQs. Only need to do the downloading on PS3. :P
As for too many games, didn't really have a problem with that. You can do custom sorting, just have to add a category to the game notes by pressing triangle and going into details or whatever it was called, and press square to change to the category folders when ready.
Comment has been collapsed.
English its good for you, but in Japan Games (JRPG in particular)
Japanese often better then English. In Russian Store
Some games are sold only with the hideous Russian voice acting without the possibility to use the original English. Personally, I would prefer the second option. Yes, I can order the disc from the US or the UK or take in digital form in UK and US PS Store, but I don't have information a game in store and it should be looking additionally.
Custom Sorting - good, but realization of so-so, for each game have to enter any appropriate category (with a gamepad), rather than to select from existing and simply send.
Comment has been collapsed.
Then you don't know the rest of the games you are missing.
Comment has been collapsed.
Really? Then no interest in Demon's Souls, or some of the still exclusive JRPGs (even if some have been ported now that PS3 support is dying down, Steam is still without a good number of them)?
Also, as you clearly like shooting stuff, Ratchet & Clank is something I'd hope you someday get a chance to play.

I'm not saying that the whole catalog of ps3 games are shit. I'm just saying that, for me, personally... MGS4 is the top, the continuation for Solid Snake story (and its final, i guess). Of course I wanted to play Demon Souls and Catherine too but... MGS4 is the only reason to buy a PS3 imho.
Comment has been collapsed.
For me first reason it bee Final Fantasy 13, then Valkyria Chronicles, Catherine and other.

Keep in mind both were exclusive for many years. People have bought and played those games on PS3 for that reason.

And what, Captain Obvious? As I say - these were the reasons for me, I already finish FF13 and VC when there is no speech about these games on the PC and was not. And I buy VC to PC too because its a one of best game from past gen and PC port is great - antialising (gedosato or GPU driver from dawnscaling), fast loading (That awesome! Reallly PS3 laoding
very time-consuming). FF13 - bad port, zip SG's bad quality. And It not the kind of game that you want to go again.

inFAMOUS, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Fat Princess, echochrome, Flower, PixelJunk Shooter 2, PixelJunk SideScroller, Tokyo Jungle and Puppeteer are all games I enjoyed. I'm sure I'm missing a few, but that's off the top of my head.

I've played very little console games, but when it comes to this, I still speak for Heavy Rain like it's my only child. Only thing I can advice you is to see some reviews before buying it, or even playing Fahrenheit. It's not a game for everybody.

In this thread: People posting random games that happen to be on PS3.
OP's question:
(either PS exclusives or console exclusives)
Keep in mind that i'm not interested in games that i can also play on a PC

Infamous series,Metal gear series, Resistance series, Killzone Series, God of War Series, Uncharted series...and of course the ones you already mentioned in your OP....there are heaps of NON-Exclusive titles that are awesome...but you have most likely played them

So i finally bought a cheap PS3 yesterday and now i'm looking for the most important titles that i should own and play(either PS exclusives or console exclusives). I already picked up Red Dead Redemption and i made a small list of games that i'll pick up in the following days.
Here is the list:
Heavy rain
The last of us
Beyond: Two Souls
Little big planet 1-2
Shadow of the colossus
So...do you have any other suggestions? Keep in mind that i'm not interested in games that i can also play on a PC xD
Thanks :)
