Castle Crashers vs. BattleBlock Theater

If you plan to play alone, go for Battleblock Theater. Castle Crasher is sooooo repetitive and boring when played alone.

I enjoyed the narration in BT a lot more too. Sure the platforming can also get repetitive, but at least you've got a narration to follow. With friends, the randomness of Castle Crasher might be more interesting.

I'd honestly get both when they're on sale. If you can only have one, I'd go for BattleBlock Theater. I have both and I enjoyed BattleBlock Theater a lot more (I found the gameplay to be a lot more fun, the multiplayer rocks and there is nearly infinite possibilities through the level edit and workshop).

I think you can monetize BattleBlock Theater by selling the head drops and gems.

I loved Castle Crashers on my Xbox 360, not so much on PC since the fps are awful...so I prefer BattleBlock Theater

BUT

they're updating Castle Crashers with new stuff and making it better framerate wise, so I can't wait to finally complete it in coop without having to play it like a slideshow :D

Battleblock has better cutscenes and story but castle Crashers has better gameplay and leveling/item system. happy cake day
