Recruitment topic should not be bumped with information there is new giveaway in the group. It's community who should bump the thread every now and then if they want to interact with it. And no one posted here to apply in 2 months now.
If you want to promote group via giveaways then list of active GAs should be listed in OP post.

If you notice our community is not engaging with the content after it has been bumped a couple of times, then you need to stop bumping the discussion unless important new information or updates would make it appropriate to do so."
a) We bump for the interest of the community
b) The community IS engaging with the content we publish here (entering giveaways) - By participating in giveaways, your site also benefit/is used by people.
c) Each new entry means new information for interested consumers. We update our own thread with new stuff. This is also not prohibited.
d) Since we are helping your site to get attention and are involved in users using it and also move within the rules, there can be no talk of an "Unreasonable bumping." or other violations.

... Are you aware that MSKOTOR is a staff member and basically the 2nd most senior one at that? Only the site owner, cg has more authority then MSKOTOR, so if he says it is against the rules you can take him at his word ... as it isn't a "personal opinion".

No, I didn't know and i think it doesn't matter because his statement/concern is nowhere in writing in the guidelines or FAQ let alone in the ToS. Example categories would be already existing passages like "comments", "recruitment", "spam" or "bumps".

I'm not most senior, there are people that are moderating website for longer. I was just given one more permission. But it's not something that really affects moderation. More like organization end. It's not like other mods are "less" in terms of the moderation or power.

Thread should be bumped by users, not thread creators.
It may be down the list on the main discussion board but if you go on the Group Recruitment category you can still see it if you're looking for a group. You can ask users that join the group to bump the topic and leave them to keep thread alive.

Apologises to you and Hakoniwa, I didn't mean it that way. I am autistic so a lot of the time what I write or say isn't the way I intended to get the message across.
I know a lot of sites have a general rule where "what the mods say is law, argue with that and we'll ban you" ... well not ban in a lot of cases but some still do that, so what the point I probably meant to say was that Hakoniwa might want to edit the message in case this is that kind of situation.
I did actually go searching for the bumping rule as well as any "mods = law" and when I came back I obviously forgot to add that into the post.
