I add to other positive comments and say my iPod touch till now didn't give me any trouble with wifi. If anything just make it forget the current used wifi spot and make it connect again. It would fix any problem unless the problem is from the router itself.

If your Optimus One disconnect, it might be defective. Or maybe the router is. (Is it working correctly with anything else?) I've had all kind of devices connected to my router (WinMo PDAs, Android phones & tablets, iPods, Desktops, Laptops) and none ever got disconnected.
I've never had any problem connecting to any kind of router with my Android phone (Galaxy S II) either. What kind of tests did you do with your phone? Is it updated to the latest OS? Are you using a custom ROM or the manufacturer's one? Can it connect correctly somewhere else? Did you try "forgetting" the network and re-connecting?

Lg p500 (optimus one with google) Doesn't work on my wifi.
If I buy an ipod touch is it supposed to work on every sort of router or will I still be stuck with the disconnecting problem?
