Directly from Wiki: In schools, both students and teachers often hold misconceptions that zero is odd, or both even and odd, or neither.
Hmm... I thought in primary school, we all learned that 0 is even.

Zero is even by definition, but it's a "weird" number that has it's own set of problems if you want to use it.
Other examples of weirdness due to the need to use zero: zero isnt positive nor negative, 0^x = 0 | x^0 = 1 | 0^0 = ¿?, you cant divide by it, ...
Actually Zero wasn't considered a number until a thousand years ago or so partially due to the fact that it broke a few operations, but we needed it so we had to add exceptions to those.

Even though it's quite an odd one, zero is an even number.
