You do not capitalize. I would never want to live in a world where you are a mod. Change your title. Change everything. My eyes they burn.

Wouldn't be surprised if it just ended up people nominating their friends. A nomination is not a good way to select moderators. Current MODs collaborating over people to choose would be a much better way to pick moderators.

Entire population voting on mods? Groupthink such a pitfall in these ideas. I would just go with the creators of the site on choosing moderators until there are enough moderatators that they could decide themselves and it could be checked by the creators.

So basically a pissing contest? What is the point of this? You list someone and they don't win they are disappointed, you DONT list someone over another and they feel bad. What good is that? It just doesn't seem like it is going to end well, is all.

If there was a way we could implement a poll system into the forums, it would greatly assist in mod nominations if it were open to the community. Maybe our current mod team could pick people for the community to choose from. After all, a leader is nothing without the support of his/her followers.

I believe the moderators should be chosen by the current moderators and CG. A moderator doesn't need to be a popular person, just someone that is willing to put there time and dedication into this community. They must know how to make decisions based on facts and will discuss the issues and improvements that the find with all the other moderators before making a decision.

Is lokonopa a mod already?

Anyway, seems nice enough and helpful, he even posted a (stickied) post that clarifies formatting in our giveaways and forum posts that is endlessly useful.

That's who comes to my mind as who would be a good new moderator.

I tried this on a forum once before. It didn't work out.

The problem with electing moderators is that people generally vote for who they like and not who would make a good mod. It's generally best to leave these decisions to the ones already in charge, they know what they're looking for.
