Not all of us. But this is STEAM gifts, so it caters exclusively to Steam users.

The King Of Fighters XIII will probably be added to the bundle I guess?

I'm guessing the same. I just bought the $10 tier even though I own all snk steam games except MS1. It was just so tempting, 10 bucks for 20+ games and even more to come...

Good games, but really, really, really old.
Basically, if you were wanting to play these, you've already emulated them in the past anyway :/

It has some games that are hiding in the SteamDB (like Metal Slug 2). So... could we be getting steam keys upon release of those games? (That would be awesome ><)

Good bundle, and something a bit different from the norm, especially for people who actually like SNK games. There's a lot of shit on steam they could have put in bundles thes days, but they actually wanted quality products, so fuck you brainwashed people who will shit on it liberally, even if it's nice to be able to look at a long list of games and think "I might play this one day......nah lol".

Just deciding between tiers 2 and 3. Managed to load up the page when BTA was $5.73, I see it's approaching $8 now. Probably going to go with 3.

Ditto. I was thinking on getting BTA, but as the BTA is getting way more expensive, I got the Tier 3 instead. I didn't have any of the games save for Metal Slug X.

I went with tier 3 to finish off my steam snk collection but tier 2 is where it's really at. Shock Troopers, Last Blade, and Pulstar? Yes please!

I still don't understand what exactly are those "debuting" games. Ports like KOF 98 and 2002 UM are, or just DotEmu-style emulations?

You can tell people here have horrible taste when they say no to Kof 98 and 2002 UM.

Why'd it have to be $40! I want that shirt :(

If I wanted them to play, I would love the DRM free possibility.
But since this bundle would have only been good for GAs, I have to pass.
Plus saving money in December is always a good thing. ^.^

I might still think about it as I think I have all the MS games.

Humble Bundle letting me donate 100% of my purchase to a local charity really makes it easier to rationalize some of their latest bundles ...

So these are emulated. Each game includes a ZIP with the arcade board ROM files and Neo Geo BIOS files.

An interface with options, at least? That sounds so cheap.

Yeah. There's options you can set before the game launches in the window. It's very similar to the Sega classics on Steam except these are individual games instead of being unified under a single frontend (though it looks like they were designed to be used in a frontend).

The notable difference with these is that the ROM files aren't obfuscated in any way. The ZIP files are in the directory for you to do with as you please.

What does "Cards: DRM Free" mean?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

it just means the game is DRM free... no cards. Trading Cards are only for steam games. Making another column for Steam/DRM-free is a bit more work.

The problem there is that Metal Slug and Metal Slug 3 should be marked as DRM-free too, but instead they have ❤s. It would make more sense to write "N/A" or "no Steam"

I dont understand what you are trying to tell me... the links provided will direct you to the game on Steam

Metal Slug 1/3 have cards because they come with steam keys. The others dont have cards because they're DRM Free. Makes sense to me.
