Fortix was a popular way to get over the $30 hump, but its on the bundle list now. If you just want something cheap, I'd suggest whichever DLC is on sale today for -75%. Odds are very good that its not on the bundle list.

Edit: Case in point, the Aliens Colonial Marines DLC is on sale for -75% off right now on Gamersgate, so you could give away the SHARP sticks for a quarter. Although, I think you should really give away something that someone might actually want.

In which case, I'd suggest Titan Quest: Immortal Throne for $3.74 (-75% on Steam). Tons of people have TQ from the bundles, but not as many have the expansion and it adds a lot of features and content. Plus, then one can use the excellent fan-patch for TQ.

I'm going to be honest, neither skin is really that great :/ I gave both a thumbs up because it seems like a nice thing that you're trying to do for your friend. Tell him to work on skins a bit more to get more detailed.
