So, I have a new gaming rig that I'm replacing my console with. I'm thus picking up PC copies of the handful of Xbox 360 games I was still playing. Among those was Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

I'd been assuming there was no PC version of this game. However, when I did a search I found indications that there may have been, for instance here and here. Was that something that actually ever happened, or did outfits like IGN and Metacritic just jump the gun?

Anyhow, if you have any idea on how I can get this for my PC, please let me know. (I'm finding that a sad number of the games I played WITH other people don't translate. For instance many coop games have same-screen on the Xbox and only online coop on the PC.)

I might be wrong. But I do remember there actually was a PC port of it. Anyway I played the original version on psx, awesome game.
You can try an emulator to revive dat ol' feelings. It would be great if it comes to Steam although.

Do you have any recollection of how the port was distributed? (It seems like I'd probably have better luck finding a copy of that than emulating a version for another platform.)

But yeah, it really was. It's a head-to-head game that's skill based but still not too intimidating.

Can't tell how the port was distributed. But back in that years ( and i'm talking about the original SPFII) Capcom did port many stuff, including the SF Alpha saga (or maybe only the 2nd one). Classic old CD-Rom.

It doesn't sound too crazy if they actually port the HD remix from de 360 to Steam. Hope they do. About emulators, the one for PSX works great. I don't think you will have trouble.

Alright, thanks. I actually remember some of those old Capcom ports. I somehow thought you meant the newer HD version had been ported. Further searching is making me think it never was.

But yeah, Capcom, get on it. I'll gladly buy it from you yet again!

The original was on PC, the Remix was never ported.
And yea split screen is nearly nonexistent on PC these days. Sad times :(
